AMR Bio Presents Phase 2b Clinical Data at the 10th AMR Conference in Basel
We are delighted to announce our participation in the 10th AMR Conference – Novel Antimicrobials & AMR Diagnostics, held this week at the Congress Center in Basel, Switzerland.
The AMR Conference is Europe’s leading business conference dedicated to tackling the challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The event brought together SMEs, start-ups, big pharma, academia, investors, and public institutions to address the real-world hurdles of advancing novel antimicrobial treatments and diagnostics.
The two-day programme included keynote speeches, expert panels and interactive sessions, creating a forum for industry collaboration and helping to drive progress across the global AMR ecosystem.
Presenting Phase 2b Clinical Data
As part of the programme, AMR Bio presented on the impact of XF-73 nasal gel on the nasal decolonisation of S. aureus and the use of post-operative anti-staphylococcal antibiotics in cardio-vascular surgery patients in a phase 2b clinical study.
The poster presentation highlighted the successful results from the completed Phase 2b FDA-oversight study of XF-73 Nasal, which reduced the mean nasal burden of Staphylococcus aureus in patients undergoing open heart surgery by 99.5%.
Following completion of Phase 2b, AMR Bio has finalised plans for the Phase 3 pivotal development programme. The design has been aligned with regulatory feedback received from the FDA and EMA, as well as input from global key opinion experts.
Under EMV Capital’s disciplined venture building model, AMB Bio is dedicated to progressing XF-73 through Phase 3 and towards commercialisation.
